Claim Number refers to the AFS-assigned claim number that is generated when you save or submit a claim in Pulse OSD. This is the master claim number that is used to identify claims between AFS, the carrier, and our clients.
Client Claim Number is a custom field that you can use to enter your company-specific claim number, if you have one. Some of our clients use their own internal numbering system for claims (Ex. A1234). This is an optional field.
Carrier Claim Number is typically added by the AFS claims team after the claim is submitted to the carrier. This is the carrier's unique reference number that the carrier assigns to the claim. This number is referenced in correspondence between AFS and the carrier.
Users can search for claims by either the Claim Number or the Client Claim Number on the Homepage:
